Waymark Tech commitment to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
As a provider of trusted regulatory information, Waymark Tech has always been committed to honoring privacy and keeping personal data safe. The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which takes effect in May 2018, is consistent with these values.
We also recognise the importance of GDPR to our customers, so earlier this year we launched our program of work to ensure our readiness for GDPR. As part of the program, we have been undertaking an evaluation of our products and services and have been refreshing our product descriptions, marketing material, policies, and data protection practices to ensure that we process personal data, including how we secure personal data, in line with GDPR and what our customers expect from us.
As many Waymark Tech products handle customer or other personal data, we are revising our customer contracts in line with GDPR to provide the necessary GDPR commitments to our customers and enable them to demonstrate their own compliance with GDPR. We have proactively rolled-out this language to our customers during Q1 of 2018.
Part of Waymark Tech commitment to GDPR compliance is also a sustained commitment to our Information Security Risk Management program. We have an extended team of certified security and privacy subject matter experts located globally and dedicated to the security of Waymark Tech products and services.
